Synopsis
Kick off 2019 by coming out to the Law Courts Inn to socialize with your peers and to learn some legal writing tips and tricks from some of the best legal writers in the criminal and civil bar: Mary Ainslie, Q.C., David Layton, Q.C., Brock Martland, Mark Andrews, Q.C., and Sally Rudolf. These five, along with Mr. Justice Harvey Groberman from the Court of Appeal for British Columbia, will share their insights on a variety of practical issues relevant to factum writing as well as most other legal writing endeavours.
Among other things, the panelists will talk about their respective writing and editing processes, their tips for using facts persuasively, and how to establish your writing style.
Webinar/Teleconference
Sections host webinars from Internet-capable venues where significant interest has been expressed by Section members in attending remotely. This Section meeting will be offered as a teleconference or webinar depending on the resources and technology available at the venue.
