Synopsis
Sam Coggins will provide a substantive and practical overview of the Forest Practices Board's mandate, rules and procedures regarding investigations and audits. In doing so, Sam will discuss relevant legislative requirements under which the Forest Practices Board operates, including requirements set out in BC's Forest & Range Practices Act, Forest Practices Board Regulations and Wildlife Act.
Speaker Bio
Sam Coggins is Director of Investigations at the BC Forest Practices Board and an Adjunct Professor at UBC's Faculty of Forestry. He holds a PhD in Philosophy (Forestry) and is a Registered Professional Forester with over 20 years experience in the natural resources sector. Sam also has experience working within and managing lands matters for First Nation governments.
