Synopsis
John Mayr shares his perspective of administrative tribunals as a lawyer's client and the challenges they face. He discusses how counsel can assist in overcoming these challenges to ensure the public receive fair and timely decisions.
About the Speaker
John Mayr is currently the executive director and CEO of the Society of Notaries Public. John has held similar roles since 1996 with the BC Colleges of Denturists, Licensed Practical Nurses of BC, and Social Workers. He is also a past president of the BC Council of Administrative Tribunals. In his personal time, John is an avid cyclist, particularly track cycling and appreciates the occasional glass of fine scotch or wine, whatever the occasion demands.
