ABOUT THE ENGAGEMENT

The government proposal for a single regulator for lawyers, notaries and paralegals is expected to be introduced as legislation this spring. CBABC supports a single regulator model only if lawyers’ independence from government and self-regulation is maintained. But what does this look like?

On March 18, the Ministry of Attorney General released some additional details on the proposed regulatory reform.

Join other lawyers in this 60-minute session to learn more and share your thoughts.

CBABC will draw on your feedback as we continue to engage with government on these developments.

ACKNOWLEDGING FIRST NATIONS TERRITORIES
