Who should care? Civil litigators, ADR professionals, In-house counsel, business lawyers
Why should you care? Traditional litigation is very inefficient in its use of time and of money. Done properly arbitration is not just “litigation sitting down”. The new ADRIC Rules change the game for arbitration in Canada. They offer your clients a faster, fully customizable framework to resolve their disputes efficiently and fairly. Best of all, you don’t even have to memorize a whole new set of rules to get there. Build them into your agreements, adopt some or all of them after a dispute arises, pick and choose the services (if any) you want ADRIC to provide as you go along; it’s up to you. And you can do it all without having to go anywhere near a courthouse.
RSVP (PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED) to the Manitoba Bar Association online (link above). The link to join the Zoom meeting will be sent out at 9:30am on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
Attendance at this MBA Section meeting can be applied towards your Law Society of Manitoba's Continuing Professional Development requirement for a maximum of 1.5 hours.
