NOTICE OF WEBINAR

DATE: Tuesday, November 21, 2017
TIME: 12:00 Noon - 1:00pm
TOPIC: Introduction to Rangefindr
SPEAKER: Lauren Davidson, Rangefindr

Since September 1, 2017, members of the Law Society of Manitoba have had free access to Rangefindr.ca through the Great Library.  Rangefindr is a tool that helps lawyers find criminal sentencing ranges in seconds instead of hours.  Click a few tags that describe the kinds of cases you're looking for (like "assault", "first offender" and "emphasizes rehabilitation") and Rangefindr tells you what kinds of sentences were imposed in those cases.  One more click and you can read the judgments themselves.  Attend this webcast to learn all about Rangefindr and how it can assist you in your practice.

You will need a telephone and computer to participate.  Please RSVP (PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED) on-line. You will receive log-in information after you have registered, approximately one week before the session. Space is limited for the webinar, so register early.  There is no fee to participate in the webinar if you are located in Manitoba.

Cost for CBA members outside the Province of Manitoba $60.00 + GST.  You will be sent an invoice for the cost after the session.

Attendance at this MBA Section meeting can be applied towards your Law Society of Manitoba's Continuing Professional Development requirement for a maximum of one hour.
