An insightful program on the intersection of Animal, Municipal and Environmental law which will explore the conflict between development and the conservation of species at risk, and their habitat in Ontario.

A range of speakers will discuss:

  • Bird injury and death caused by bird window strikes, and reflected light as a contaminant under the Environmental Protection Act
  • The Endangered Species Act, 2007 (ESA) as a framework for conservation and protection as well as the role of overall benefit permits
  • The interaction between the ESA and provincial development policies and plans
