Charity and Not-for-Profit Law | Original Program Date: September 14, 2016

Recent changes to Ontario’s lobbying rules and federal income tax rules have changed registration and reporting requirements for charities, and also created limitations on political activities. As a result, your charitable clients will soon be turning to you to ensure they know their obligations at the municipal, provincial and federal levels. Join your peers to gain a clear understanding of the new restrictions and requirements, including resource limits on political activities and which activities constitute lobbying at all levels of government. With our esteemed faculty, you will work through scenarios and hear valuable insights on how you can ensure your clients are complying with rules while maintaining their organizational mandates.
