The Ontario government has recently enacted the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change's (MOECC)  Climate Change Mitigation and Low-carbon Economy Act2016 along with the related greenhouse gas emissions reporting and the cap and trade regulations.  This legislation will effectively impose a cost for greenhouse gas emissions in respect of specific activities with a view to reducing greenhouse gases to meet Ontario’s emission targets. Hear directly from MOECC experts as they delve into the finer points of the Act and regulations, and share valuable tips on how to navigate these complex changes so you and your clients are prepared.
