Join us to learn about the Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority (RPRA) and its efforts to support the transition to a circular economy and a waste-free Ontario. RPRA has a broad mandate that includes establishing an electronic registry, implementing producer registration and recycling requirements, and undertaking compliance actions such as inspections, orders, monetary penalties, and prosecutions to enforce provisions of the Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act, 2016 and the Waste Diversion Transition Act, 2016. Gain an understanding of the regulatory requirements your clients must comply with, including the current wind-up of the Use Tires Program by December 31, 2018 as well as individual producer responsibility requirements.
