Evidence in Administrative Tribunal Proceedings

Apr. 1, 2026
Online

OBA Administrative Law PROGRAM
 | 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (ET)

Administrative decision-makers are not bound by the strict rules of evidence that apply in court proceedings. Before your appearance before an administrative decision-maker, it’s critical to effectively examine the tribunal’s rules, statutory framework, relevant decisions, and the principles of procedural fairness, to understand the admissibility and use of evidence. Hear from our faculty of experienced practitioners on how different tribunals deal with evidence, including a discussion on the treatment of hearsay.
