SKILLED LAWYER SERIES : FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

- If you are unable to attend a program for which you are registered, the following options are available to you:
- A complimentary recording of the session will be sent to you within two weeks of the session
- Transfer of registration to another individual *
- Transfer of registration to another program ^
- Cancellations and refunds are available up to seven days prior to the event date. **
- * Additional charges may apply dependent on membership.
- ^ Applicable only to CBA National programs currently open for registration, additional charges may apply due to program fees.
- ** Please note that canceling a course within a package will result in the loss of the package discount for the other remaining courses.
How do I register?
There are two ways to register. You can purchase the full package of corporate or litigation programs or you can register for individual programs. Click here to register for Skilled Lawyer Series programs.
I like some of the corporate programs and some of the litigation ones. Can I create my own package of 8 programs?
At this time, the only packages available are the set corporate or litigation packages. You would need to register for programs individually.
Some of the programs have already taken place. Am I still able to participate in those programs?
After an event has passed, the recording of that program becomes available for viewing. The recording will offer a very similar experience as compared to the live presentation. If you register for a package after events have passed you will be provided with a) the recordings of past presentations and b) access instructions for upcoming live presentations.
Several people in my firm are interested in a program. How do we register?
There are two ways to register a group. If your group is less than 12 people, you would register each person individually in the program. If your group is more than 12 people, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss group rates.
I prefer watching recordings. Can I just buy the recordings instead of registering?
Recordings are only available for purchase following an event.
I live in a jurisdiction with mandatory PD (MCLE, CPD) requirements. Do these programs count? What about recordings?
Each of the CBA Skilled Lawyer Series programs has been accredited by every relevant law society or is in process. All recordings are adaptable to meet law society requirements as well. Please check with your law society if you have questions.
I live in Quebec and need an attestation form for each program I attend. How do I get it?
Attestation forms will be emailed following the program. Please note that if your firm purchased a boardroom registration, and hasn’t provided us with a list of participants, we will not be able to provide you with an attestation form.
I live in a jurisdiction with an ethics, professional responsibility and/or practice management (EPPM) requirement. Do these programs qualify?
Please consult the “Accreditation” section on each program registration page for information regarding EPPM content.
Accessing the presentation
How do I access the presentation?
Upon registration, you will be emailed your registration confirmation which will contain full access instructions. You may wish to enter these instructions into your calendar.
Do I need any special computer equipment?
All you need is a computer with hi-speed internet access and a phone.

How do I pay?
You can pay when you register using a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express) or indicate that you will be paying by cheque. Cheques can be sent to:

How do I get a receipt for my payment?
Receipts will be emailed following the program.
