Intellectual Property Update
This meeting is being hosted by the Commercial & Real Estate - Vancouver Island Section.

Synopsis
Canada signed a number of Intellectual Property treaties, which required significant changes to Canadian laws prior to implementation.

The changes to the Design laws took effect in November of 2018. The changes to the Trademark laws took effect in June 2019. The changes to the Patent laws took effect in October 2019. 

The purpose of this talk is to alert you as to what has changed.
