Synopsis
This case has a little bit of everything: recognition of a foreign judgment, freezing orders, Land Title Act injunctions, fraudulent conveyance proceedings, a receivership, a bankruptcy, substitution of a receiver, substitution of a trustee, examinations by the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy and more. Though the matter is ongoing, our presenters Gordon Plottel and Steven Evans of Miller Thomson LLP, will provide an overview of the many twists and turns this matter has taken and share some practical tips that they have picked up along the way.
