Synopsis

In your practice you may be approached to act for a proposed patient in a contested committeeship application. This adult may ask you to defend the application if they do not believe they are incapable of managing their affairs or they may ask you to make submissions on their behalf as to which person they would prefer to act as their committee.  Navigating these issues is rarely easy.

Listen to a discussion between experienced estate practitioners, Deidre Herbert and Genevieve Taylor on how to prevent and tackle these issues.
