This joint CBA Competition Law Section International Committee and Young Lawyers Committee program will provide an insider's view into why attorneys at all levels may want to consider secondments, whether to another firm or antitrust agency, domestic or abroad.

Our panelists will discuss their experiences on a variety of secondments, and touch on topics including:

  • Pros and cons of choosing a secondment and how to determine when it would be most beneficial to your career
  • Whether the “revolving door” is or should be a growing option in Canada
  • How to develop support for a secondment from the home office (or, when to quit your job and make a move anyway)
  • How to capitalize on your experience upon your return

The panel will be followed by a networking reception.
