A unique opportunity to hear about the Parkland case right from the source: the litigators and economists who were on for each of the Bureau and Parkland will be joining us. We will be hearing their views on the first and only contested section 104 injunction in a merger case, including the economic analyses that influenced the Tribunal’s decision. This case is important with respect to a variety of topics, such as hold separates and geographic market definitions, not to mention the unprecedented, successful mediation that followed.

Moderator:
Jonathan Bitran (McCarthy Tétrault LLP)

Speakers:

John Syme (Competition Bureau)
Dennis Lu (Competition Bureau)
John Rook (Bennett Jones LLP)
Margaret Sanderson (Charles River Associates)
