Great food, great music, great people - the OBA BLOCKO!

During Black History Month, as we pay tribute to the history of Black people and communities in Canada, we also want to recognize those who are moving forward the wheel of history in real-time. As a home for diversity and inclusion in the profession, the OBA especially celebrates the Black lawyers who positively contribute to the Black community and to the OBA’s own community of lawyers.

This month, in the spirit of community-building and celebration, the OBA is hosting our third annual Blocko on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 5:30 – 8:00 pm.

We are pleased to welcome a special guest:
The Honourable Michael H. Tulloch, Chief Justice of Ontario

Black law school students and new lawyers are especially encouraged to attend. We will have lawyers from the OBA’s #InclusionAcrossOntario social campaign mingling while guests enjoy community-connections, delcious food from The Real Jerk, and the transcendent musical beats of DJ MixMaster Caesar .

The OBA Blocko is your annual community block-party!
Get to know new friends, connect with your community, share the experiences of making your way in the profession – all while having a really great time – with great people, great music and great food.
