Pierre-Jérôme (PJ) Bouchard is an Investment Manager and Legal Counsel based in Montreal and is responsible for Omni Bridgeway's operations and investments in the province of Quebec. As an experienced litigator at leading law firms in the U.S. and Canada, he is well placed to discuss funding options with claimants and counsel, and act as a strategic sounding board to maximize recovery.
PJ launched Omni Bridgeway’s Montreal office in 2018, the first dispute finance office in Quebec. Prior to spearheading this initiative, PJ was an equity partner in the litigation group of McCarthy Tétrault LLP, where he conducted trials and appeals and advised clients operating in various industries on a wide variety of high-profile matters. He has extensive experience litigating before all levels of courts in Canada and in resolving complex disputes. Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault, PJ practiced in the litigation group at New York-based firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. His areas of expertise include product liability, securities fraud, intellectual property, breach of contract and antitrust. PJ also has vast experience in all types of class actions and is leading Omni Bridgeway’s Canadian initiatives in this space. He is a frequent speaker about the Canadian and Quebec dispute finance market.
An active member of his community, PJ is on the National Advisory Committee of and a regional coordinator for the Supreme Court Advocacy Institute, which provides free, non-partisan advocacy advice to a party’s lawyer scheduled to appear before the Supreme Court of Canada. He is also President of the Board of Directors of Quasar saxophone quartet, a musical ensemble dedicated to the creation and promotion of contemporary music, and a volunteer with Sentiers de l’Estrie, a network of publicly accessible trails in Quebec’s Eastern Townships.
PJ obtained his law degree from the Université Laval in 2003 where he graduated first in his class and his Master of Law degree from Columbia University in 2005. Before entering private practice, he served as a law clerk to the Honourable Justice Louis LeBel of the Supreme Court of Canada. PJ was called to the Quebec Bar in 2006 and to the New York Bar in 2007. He is fluent in French and English.

Rachel is the deputy lead for Dentons Canada’s national Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group and co-leader for the firm’s national ADR and Arbitration group. Her clients are primarily in the energy and natural resources industries, where she advises on matters that have an international or multi-jurisdictional aspect. Rachel has experience as counsel in international and domestic arbitration involving mining, oil & gas and electricity industry disputes and agreements across Canada and in South America, Central Asia and South-East Asia before several institutions and in ad hoc matters. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a member of the NextGen Roster of Arbitrators at Arbitration Place and a member of the Western Canada Commercial Arbitration Society.
