Lasting Client Relationships: Intake Strategies that Build Long-Term Trust
March 7, 2017

Webinar presented by the CBA National Access to Justice Committee

A trusted relationship between lawyers and clients can reduce anxiety about legal issues and make it easier for clients to understand and act on legal advice. Practice management strategies that alleviate anxiety and intimidation also benefit the lawyer through realistic client expectations, timely follow through and clear communication within the context of a specific retainer. This session will explore how you can use client intake procedures to identify long-term needs, build client capacity to spot legal issues, and develop an action plan for proactive management of anticipated conflict, while still efficiently meeting immediate needs.

After this webinar, you will be able to:

·    Understand how to use the client intake process to build a long-term trusted advisory role
·    Assess long-term needs and build a client-centered action plan
·    Implement strategies for developing a network of intermediaries to provide integrated service
·    Address client fear and anxiety for better management of legal issues
