Mental Health Reimagined: Unlocking the Power of the Lawyer’s Subconscious Mind for Well-Being
A presentation of the Alberta Lawyer Insight Series (ALIS)
The legal profession often teaches us to equate stress with its many external demands—impossible deadlines, demanding clients, and heavy workloads—but research and lived experience show the deeper truth: chronic stress is caused from within. Drawing on neuroscience and psychology, this session explores how lawyers can reprogram self-limiting subconscious patterns, release negative emotions, and reclaim peace and presence despite relentless and intense external demands. Through practical reprogramming and reframing techniques, mindfulness, and the practice of letting go, participants will learn how to shift from surviving to thriving by dissolving unhealthy reactions to stress at its root and start building an inner foundation of peace for greater balance and fulfillment in law and life.
To support open and honest conversation, this session will not be recorded. We hope you’ll join us live and be part of the discussion.
