Choosing the Right Mental Health Intervention for Children in Parenting Disputes
Presented by the CBA Alberta Child & Youth Law (North) Section
On Demand. Originally presented on Sep 25, 2025.
When children are caught in the middle of high-conflict divorce, choosing a mental health intervention that actually helps—not just checks a box—can feel overwhelming.
CBA Child & Youth Section welcomes back Brandi Smith to provide a practical overview of PN7s and various therapeutic models and discuss how to select the right fit to truly address the children’s needs. We will go through real-world examples and how to sift through therapeutic options, what outcomes to expect, and how to align interventions with the needs of children struggling in the midst of family conflict.
