Braiding Legal Traditions: Indigenous Laws in Courts
Presented by the CBA Alberta Aboriginal Law (North) Section
How are Courts engaging with Indigenous Laws today? What are some of the challenges and opportunities that are emerging as Indigenous Peoples and individuals bring arguments grounded in Indigenous legal traditions or Indigenous legislation before Courts? This session examines these questions, and shares themes from research in this area.
