AI Use by Participants in Administrative Law Contexts

Nearly three and a half years after the public introduction of ChatGPT, generative AI continues to reshape legal practice in profound ways. Professor Amy Salyzyn will examine how participants in administrative law contexts are engaging with AI tools. Topics will include a rapid-fire overview of AI basics — what do lawyers need to know about the technology — along with an exploration of how generative AI is being used in regulatory hearings and communications with regulators. The session will also offer preliminary thoughts on best practices for addressing volume and accuracy concerns in participant materials.
