Defence-Sector Construction Projects Primer
Presented by the CBA Alberta Construction Law (South) Section
Canada’s historic investment in its defence-sector and specifically defence infrastructure represents a significant opportunity for the construction industry. However, leveraging these opportunities requires awareness of the additional risks and compliance considerations that come with defence-sector projects.
This presentation will explore the intersection between national security requirements, procurement rules, and traditional construction risk allocation. The presentation examines how heightened security clearances, controlled goods regulations, and federal contracting frameworks impact each aspect of the life-cycle of a construction project. .
