
Preparing Appellate Documents – Tips and Tricks

The Case Management Officer of the Court of Appeal will guide participants through the full landscape of an appeal, important things to consider before filing, how to prepare a strong Notice of Appeal, what to do when permission is required, and the importance of meeting deadlines. This Section meeting will place emphasis on preparation of the Factum, the most influential document in the appellate process, offering practical strategies for approach, structure, clarity, and persuasive written advocacy. Counsel of all levels and practice areas can benefit from this informative Section meeting.
