Presented by the CBA Alberta Wills, Estates & Trusts (North) Section
We are pleased to have three members from Faber Insolvency Trustees provide a presentation and enter into discussions related to a number of practical topics that will prove to be helpful as we assist personal representatives in dealing with insolvent or near-insolvent estates.
Topics for discussion will be:
- Executor responsibility prior to and during the bankruptcy administration
- The bankruptcy process
- Protection for beneficiaries
- Treatment of assets
- Income tax implications for beneficiaries and the bankrupt estate
