Mediating Estate Disputes

Presented by the CBA Alberta Wills & Trusts (South) Section

We are pleased to have the Honourable Barbara Veldhuis and Honourable Kristine Eidsvik, KC (Retired Justices) host a discussion on the challenges of resolving contested estate litigation matters. As we know, the area of wills and estates can provide unique legal and emotional challenges for our clients. What we do know is that litigation is very uncertain in terms of outcomes, in addition to significant financial costs. Our speakers will weigh in on their experiences on the Bench, and more recently in the private mediation realm.

Kristine and Barbara will provide an overview of their mediation/dispute resolution experiences and strategies, and we welcome an open conversation with all participants.
