Join Sarah Klinger of the Law Office of Sarah L. Klinger and Cheryl D’Sa of Narwal Litigation LLP for lessons on how to take the nightmare out of networking to confidently build your practice. Attendees will work through scenarios to identify their networking style and create a plan that applies the key skills needed to achieve professional success.

About Sarah Klinger

After working in a number of law firms in Victoria, Sarah Klinger opened her own practice in 2012.  She currently practices employment law and estate litigation, and handles occupier’s liability claims. In the last 23 years as a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Sarah has served on the executive of the Young Lawyers (Victoria) subsection, as the Chair of the national Young Lawyers, as a Provincial Council member, as the Young Lawyers Representative on the Board of Directors of Provincial Council, and as a Director at Large on Provincial Council.

In 2007, Sarah was recognized for her extensive community involvement as one of the “Visionaries Under Forty” for Vancouver Island. In 2008, she was awarded the Victoria Bar Association’s Pamela Murray Award, which is presented to a lawyer who has consistently maintained high professional standards and contributed substantially to the well-being of the Victoria Bar. She often returns to the University of Victoria’s Faculty of Law to judge mock applications and to speak with law students about the practice of law, and volunteers with the Professional Legal Training Course to provide guidance on bringing applications in Judge’s or Master’s Chambers.



About Cheryl D'Sa

Cheryl, a civil litigator and mediator is the managing partner of Narwal Litigation LLP in downtown Vancouver, a firm primarily devoted to criminal litigation, securities litigation and professional regulation. Cheryl was called to the Bar in 2008 after receiving her law degree from UBC and has appeared in all levels of Court in British Columbia. Cheryl has been an elected bencher of the Law Society of British Columbia since May 2020.  She is currently the Chair of the Law Society’s Equity Diversity & Inclusion Committee, a member of the Credentials Committee and the Mental Health Task Force. Cheryl is a recipient of Business in Vancouver’s Top 40 under 40 award. In 2023 she was awarded the Debra Van Ginkel, QC Mentoring Award by the Women Lawyers Forum of CBABC.
