SYNOPSIS
This recording is a part of the CBABC Advancing Reconciliation Series.
Canada’s colonization and historical policies have created long-lasting economic disparities for Indigenous Peoples. Control over their own quality of life was taken, preventing full participation in society.
In this interactive workshop, unpack the crucial roles decolonization, legal pluralism and dismantling of systemic barriers play in forging a path towards economic reconciliation. Collaborate with colleagues to develop actionable strategies for achieving this transformative shift to a more equitable economy for Indigenous Peoples.

About Annie Korver
Annie Korver is a purpose-driven entrepreneur and citizen of the Métis Nation. She holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Calgary and serves on the Board of Directors for both the Canadian Council of Indigenous Business and the Canadian Business for Social Responsibility.
Annie founded Rise Consulting in 2013 when she was inspired to respond to the call to Reconciliation and advance Indigenous inclusion. She lives within Ktunaxa?amaki?is, the homelands of the Ktunaxa People, and the Kootenay Region of the Métis Nation of British Columbia.
