How do criminal lawyers build careers that last? This panel brings together Crown and defence counsel at every stage: early-career lawyers still finding their footing, mid-career practitioners managing growing files and responsibilities, and senior counsel who have spent decades in the courtroom. Lucy Bogle, David Fai, and Molly Greene talk candidly about how they got where they are, covering topics such as finding mentors, developing trial skills, choosing between Crown and defence practice (and moving between them), building a reputation, managing the workload and emotional demands of criminal practice, and staying engaged over the long term. Whether you are a student, a new call, or a lawyer thinking about your next step, you will leave with practical advice and an honest look at what a career in criminal law can look like.
