Captain Robin Stewart is a lifelong West Coast mariner with more than 50 years of experience in British Columbia’s marine industry. Beginning his career as a commercial diver and salmon fisher, he later spent over two decades operating tugs throughout the Pacific Northwest and Alaska.

Captin Stewart joined BC Coast Pilots in 2000 and has since served in several leadership roles, including three terms as President, helping shape the future of coastal pilotage in British Columbia. Robin is widely respected for his deep operational knowledge, leadership and longstanding commitment to the maritime community..

This event is hosted by the Canadian Bar Association, BC Branch, located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples, including the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh and Musqueam First Nations. We encourage our members to explore the rich history and knowledge of Indigenous people, and to continue learning about their experience in Canada, past and present.
