WELCOME (BACK) TO PROVINCIAL COUNCIL

Register for the Provincial Council Meeting to elect the next Board of Directors, network with colleagues and advance the work of the Canadian Bar Association in British Columbia.

Provincial Council serves as an essential forum for CBABC leaders, providing an advisory role to the CBABC Board of Directors. Your participation and insights are invaluable as we continue to shape the future of our association and address the challenges and opportunities facing our legal community.

This is the last Provincial Council meeting for this term. If you are unable to attend, please suggest someone to attend in your place from your Section, county or committee. Email ea@cbabc.org to submit your delegate proposal for approval from the CEO.

GETTING TO PROVINCIAL COUNCIL

Out-of-Town Attendees: Book your travel NOW!
If using air transportation to attend, members are required to take advantage of seat sales, and economy or advance booking airfare. Book early to secure the best rate!

Airport Shuttle: The hotel offers free 24-hour transportation to and from the airport. International and Domestic pick-up areas are on the arrivals level of the airport and are marked as hotel shuttle pick up areas.

SkyTrain: The Canada Line is an economical public transit option if you are travelling within Vancouver. You may claim the Canada Line ticket cost on the expense reimbursement form, so please keep your receipt. If you choose to travel to the River Rock via the Canada Line, Bridgeport Station is the stop closest to the hotel.

Self-Parking: Complimentary self-parking is provided should you prefer to drive.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

Complimentary accommodations can be provided at the River Rock Casino Resort for Friday night for attendees who live outside of the Metro Vancouver area, if needed. Please add your request at registration. 

A second complimentary night of accommodation can be requested upon approval by the CEO when return flights or ferry connections are not available after 5:00 p.m. the day of the meeting.

Room Cancellations must be forwarded to events@cbabc.org no later than Tue, Apr 7. If you cancel after this date, you may be responsible for the rooming fees.

REIMBURSEMENTS

Please use the online reimbursement form for incurred costs outlined in the CBABC Financial Policy (Appendix B).

Requests for reimbursement must be submitted to the CBABC office within 30 days of incurring the expense or the amount requested may not be paid.
