ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Brendon Ogmundson

Brendon Ogmundson is Chief Economist at the British Columbia Real Estate Association (BCREA), where he brings deep expertise in macroeconomic forecasting, housing market analysis, and econometric modelling. In this role, he leads economic research and produces forecasts for the British Columbia, Canadian, and U.S. economies, including quarterly analyses of mortgage rates and commercial real estate trends. Brendon’s outstanding work in economic forecasting was recognized with the Crystal Ball Award from the Association of Professional Economists of British Columbia, and he contributes his insights as part of the Philadelphia Federal Reserve’s Survey of Professional Forecasters.

Brendon is a trusted commentator on real estate economics and frequently appears in major news outlets to discuss market developments. He holds a Master of Arts in Economics from Simon Fraser University and is a CFA Charterholder. His perspectives help inform real estate professionals, policymakers, and industry stakeholders on key trends shaping housing and commercial markets across the province.
