SYNOPSIS

It’s only a matter of time before your firm is under the microscope. All law firms are subject to Law Society compliance audits to assess compliance with the requirements of the Law Society Rules, Legal Profession Act, and the Code of Professional Conduct for British Columbia.

Being prepared for when your time comes ensures your audit is as quick and straightforward as possible, so you can return to your client work with a breath of relief. Take the advice of a solo firm entrepreneur and chartered professional accountant as they discuss how to get ahead of an audit, what to do if your firm is selected and frameworks that better support compliance.
