TOPIC: International Practice
SPEAKER: Brandon Barnes, Fillmore Riley LLP

This session will discuss common difficulties experienced when giving advice across international borders, particularly the role of the lawyer in different jurisdictions and certain complexities that can arise when dealing with multiple languages or cultures. Brandon will also explain how the international legal landscape is structured for commercial transactions and international dispute resolution, the primacy of the London, New York, and Singapore markets, the functions of lawyers in the offshore world and IFCs, and how young lawyers can have global mobility in their careers.
