The MBA Environmental, Energy, and Resources Law Section invites you to attend a discussion about the role of lawyers in efforts to address the climate crisis that Canada, and the rest of the world, is currently experiencing. Join the students from Robson Hall’s Environmental Law class and hear from a representative of Lawyers for Climate Justice (L4CJ), a group of lawyers and law students focused on advancing climate justice within the Canadian legal profession.  Qualifies for 1.0 hours of CPD ethics, professionalism and/or practice management content.

Please RSVP (PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED) to the Manitoba Bar Association online (link above). 

You will need a computer or laptop (PC or Mac), smartphone or tablet with a microphone and webcam (built-in or external) and an internet connection.  

If you will be participating from a laptop, you would also need to install a Zoom Client for Meetings from this site: https://zoom.us/download. If you are unsure whether you have the latest version of Zoom, please follow the instructions HERE

Attendance at this MBA Section meeting can be applied towards your Law Society mandatory yearly continuing professional development requirement for for a maximum of 1.5 hours (including one hour of Ethics, Professionalism and Practice Management).

At approximately 9:30am on Friday, October 1, 2021 an email will be sent from the MBA advising you of the link that you will click on to join the Zoom video conference meeting.  So it will be important to register before 5:00pm on Thursday, September 30, 2021.
