TOPIC:  Public Sector Lawyers’ Roundtable: Reputation-Building in the Public Sector
SPEAKER: Melanie R. Bueckert, Legal Research Counsel – Manitoba Court of Appeal

The MBA Public Sector Lawyers’ Section invites you to join us for a virtual roundtable to discuss reputation-building in the public sector.  Please come prepared to discuss networking and networking alternatives in public sector career advancement and to share your own experiences.  Invited guests include Deputy Minister of Justice and Deputy Attorney General David Wright and Jacqueline St. Hill, Q.C., Director – Winnipeg Prosecutions.

Please RSVP (PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED) to the Manitoba Bar Association online (link above). 

You will need a computer or laptop (PC or Mac), smartphone or tablet with a microphone and webcam (built-in or external) and an internet connection.  

If you will be participating from a laptop, you would also need to install a Zoom Client for Meetings from this site: https://zoom.us/download. If you are unsure whether you have the latest version of Zoom, please follow the instructions HERE.

At approximately 9:30am on Friday, November 19, 2021 an email will be sent from the MBA advising you of the link that you will click on to join the Zoom video conference meeting.  So it will be important to register before 5:00pm on Thursday, November 18, 2021.  

Attendance at this MBA Section learning session can be applied towards your Law Society mandatory yearly continuing professional development requirement for Ethics, Professionalism and Practice Management for a maximum of 1.5 hours.
