This panel will provide an overview for Canadian practitioners of the upcoming implementation of the UK’s National Security and Investment Act (NSIA) on January 4, 2022. Topics covered include an overview of the clearance process (including the mandatory notification sectors), parallels with the current Canadian national security regime, and considerations for parties with operations in the UK looking to negotiate transaction agreements both pre- and post-January 4, 2022.
