The CBA Competition Law Section's Reviewable Matters Committee presents:

Epic v. Apple

December 14, 2021 | 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Eastern
Online (Zoom)

What are the limits of permissible conduct by big tech platforms? In particular, what restrictions can they impose on the users of their platforms? Those questions are front and centre in Epic v. Apple, a US private action that is one of the first decisions to come out of a bevvy of enforcement cases against big tech in the United States. This brown bag will examine how that decision is relevant for important questions in competition law enforcement against big tech. In light of the complexity of these questions and the Competition Bureau’s public investigations of big tech, this program is sure to be of interest to a wide audience.

Moderator
Clayton Reinink, Competition Bureau

Speakers
Kelly Fayne, Latham & Watkins
Mara Lederman, University of Toronto Rotman School of Management
Anthony Niblett, University of Toronto Faculty of Law
