The Mergers Committee of the CBA Competition Law Section is pleased to host a virtual roundtable event led by representatives from the Competition Bureau.Bureau representatives will present on the launch of the second phase consultation for the revised Merger Enforcement Guidelines, providing details on the substantive changes proposed in the revised guidelines, an overview of the Competition Bureau’s thought-process for selected key amendments and on next steps for the consultation process.
As in prior roundtable events, the Competition Bureau representatives will also present a look-back on recent trends in merger notification and enforcement activity.
The audience will be encouraged to ask questions and provide initial feedback on the content of the revised draft Merger Enforcement Guidelines and the Bureau’s recent merger enforcement activity.
