The CBA Competition Law and Foreign Investment Review Section’s Young Lawyers Committee and Criminal Matters Committee presents:
Commissioner for a Day - What Changes Would You Make to the Immunity and Leniency Programs?
November 12, 2025 | 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Eastern
Online (Zoom)
What would you do if you were Commissioner for a day? Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking discussion where panelists will critically examine the current state of the Competition Bureau’s Immunity and Leniency Programs. This session will consider the effectiveness and impact of the Competition Bureau’s current programs, which serve as critical tools in detecting and deterring criminal anti-competitive conduct. The panelists will explore whether these programs are achieving their intended objectives, discuss challenges faced by participants and counsel, and consider potential reforms to enhance their effectiveness in fostering cooperation and enforcement.
This event will also include a Q&A session with participants. If you would like to submit any questions in advance, you can email them to Claudette van Zyl (cvanzyl@woods.qc.ca) and Zach Rudge (zrudge@osler.com).
