CBA Criminal Law Brown Bag

Please join a panel of esteemed legal participants for a one-hour virtual session discussing The Erosion of our Democratic Institutions and the Attack on the Rule of Law.   Justice Anne Derrick of the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, Jared Fishman, former American Department of Justice prosecutor and Founder and Executive Director of the Justice Innovation Lab, Sandra Barton, Ontario civil litigator and co-founder of the Rule of Law Project and Dean Richard Jochelson, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Robson Hall, University of Manitoba will provide insights into how we got to this state in Canada and what we can do to navigate our way back to a society that is committed to the rule of law and the pillars of a liberal democracy.  The panel will be moderated by Wendy Martin White, K.C., criminal defence lawyer and Communications Officer of the Canadian Bar Association’s Criminal Law Section.
