Demographic changes and the addition of certain federal language rights, such as those in divorce proceedings, are driving a growing demand for legal services in French across the country. To address this, the mobility of French-speaking legal professionals, including those from the international Francophonie, is becoming an important strategic lever to strengthen access to justice in French in Canada.

This in-person event, which also offers a hybrid webinar option,  will address issues related to the mobility of French-speaking legal professionals in Canada, as well as its possibilities and limitations for increasing access to justice in French.

Objective

To gain a better understanding of the current situation and some of the issues related to the mobility of French-speaking legal professionals in Canada and its potential for promoting access to justice in French.
