RECORDING


During this session, participants will get a preview of initiatives designed to enhance the mental well-being of lawyers and the people around them, as well as an introduction to current, practical resources to enable lawyers to improve their mental health.


SPEAKERS

Leslie Anne St. Amour, lawyer, environmental advocate, and member of the Bonnechere Algonquin First Nation, will speak on her successes in achieving mental health. 

Dean Michael Marin of the UNB Faculty of Law speaking on recommendations from the Mental Health and Wellness Task Force of the Law Society of New Brunswick.

Maneesha Gupta, creator of Mindful Lawyer Canada and named as one of the top 25 most influential lawyers in Canada, will lead a brief, guided meditation for all participants.

Richard Martin will introduce the Mindful Business Charter and the experiences that led him to develop it. 

Leena Yousefi, a multi-award winning lawyer and the founder of YLaw, the largest female-led law firm in Canada, will speak on her law firm initiatives to enhance mental health.

This session may be eligible for up to 3 hours of mandatory continuing professional development.
