Truth and Reconciliation: Your Obligations and Opportunities as a Lawyer

Sep. 29, 2026
Fredericton Online

This session is presented by the CBANB Aboriginal Law Section

September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation - but what does reconciliation actually require of you as a lawyer? This session takes a practical look at TRC Calls to Action 27-42, your professional obligations to Indigenous clients and colleagues, and what meaningful progress looks like from government, law schools, and the legal profession. With a focus on New Brunswick’s distinct Treaty history and Indigenous legal landscape, participants will leave with concrete takeaways and a personal commitment to carry forward.
