CBA-NL Lunch & Learn: Understanding the Public Complaints Commission and the Office of the Citizens’ Representative

Description

Ever wondered what happens after a complaint is made to the Public Complaints Commission or the Office of the Citizens’ Representative - or how lawyers can best work with these offices?

Join Twila Reid, Commissioner of the RNC Public Complaints Commission, and Bradly Moss, Citizens’ Representative with the Office of the Citizens’ Representative, as they combine forces for a practical Lunch & Learn on how their respective offices work and what lawyers need to know.

The session will provide an overview of the roles and responsibilities of each office, what happens once a matter comes through the door, how the complaint and investigation processes work, and what lawyers can expect when interacting with the offices on behalf of clients. They’ll also discuss available resources and practical guidance to help lawyers better understand and navigate these processes.

This is an opportunity to hear directly from the people working within these offices, ask questions, and gain a better understanding of how they can assist both lawyers and the public.
