How is Canadian Energy Regulation Evolving to Support Canadian Prosperity? Nova Scotia Examples of Increasing Legal Collaboration

Join the Environmental, Energy, and Resources Law Section for this presentation on Canadian prosperity and Nova Scotian energy regulation with Lucia Westin-Eastaugh (McInnes Cooper). This session will provide a high-level overview of the constitutional, statutory and practical context of energy regulation in the province, highlighting the need for collaboration between energy stakeholders.  The primary focus of the presentation is an exploration of examples of how energy regulation is evolving in Nova Scotia to increase Canadian (and Nova Scotian) prosperity by increasing collaboration. In particular, the presentation will focus on the development of Nova Scotia’s Offshore Wind regime and the Building Canada Act.
