In-House Impact: Asian Lawyers Shaping Corporate & Regulatory Law

May 27, 2026
Halifax NS

In celebration of Asian Hertiage Month, we are pleased to invite you to In-House Impact: Asian Lawyers Shaping Corporate & Regulatory Law, a panel discussion and networking reception, hosted in partnership with the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (FACL Atlantic).

Join us to hear from in-house and regulatory lawyers from Asian communities, who will discuss their career journeys and offer advice for what legal organizations can do differently to build diversity, equity and inclusion in their workplaces. We are pleased to announce our panelsts, Abha Romkey (Vice President, Legal & Privacy, Emera Inc.) and Cynthia Tambago-Alday (Deputy Director of Registration and Compliance, Nova Scotia Securities Commission). We are very much looking forward to this discussion and reflection on the experiences Asian lawyers face in the Nova Scotia legal community.

Following the panel discussion, we will host a networking reception with a delicious spread of Asian food provided. We are looking forward to this chance to get together to share experiences and celebrate Asian Heritage Month!

This free event is made possible by generous sponsorship from McInnes Cooper and Stewart McKelvey.
