Join us on Friday, September 18, 2026 for the Cape Breton Bench & Bar Forum! This 1-day professional development conference is designed to bring together legal professionals from across the region for a full day of insightful discussions, practical learning, and meaningful networking.
The day will begin with a Breakfast with the Bench, featuring an exceptional panel of judicial leaders: Chief Justice Michael Wood of the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, Chief Justice Deborah Smith of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, and Chief Judge Perry Borden of the Provincial Court of Nova Scotia.
Our full program will include sessions on working with Indigenous clients, recruitment and retention in rural communities, technology, and substantive legal updates presented by local practitioners from across Cape Breton and Nova Scotia. Stay tuned for further speaker announcements!
